We had midterm exams this week and I'm so glad they're over! Both turned out a lot better than I was expecting. The written test was on Tuesday, with 80 multiple choice questions, three charts to fill in (parts of the human cell, shoulders in the arms/shoulders, and bones in the skull). We had a huge cram session right before Teressa let us take the test, and I did great! I only missed 6 out of 105 points possible! Wednesday brought a new testing environment: the waxing practical exam in the Esthetics lab. I had my good friend Ashley come in as my model. We were directed to perform one yellow wax (arms, legs. Yellow wax is used with the cloth strips) and one blue wax (eyebrows, armpits, upper lip, ect). The legs came really easy to me, although it took a lot of time and we finished with waxing Ashley's eyebrows (her armpit hair wasn't long enough to wax). It was exhausting but really good practice.
Trina and I barely got home today from evaluations and I found out that I scored a 96. Teressa said I work on the thickness of the blue wax when I apply. Woohoo! I'm so glad testing is over now.
